Sriracha Lime Chicken

Chicken is a very popular source of animal protein that can be cooked in various ways (baked, roasted, fried, broiled, etc.)! It’s nearly impossible to add a seasoning to chicken and have it taste bad--although some may disagree. Not to mention, chicken makes for quick and easy recipes especially for individuals on a time crunch. There are 4 simple ingredients in this recipe that will not require you to break the bank, and it will last you a couple days’ worth of meals if you are someone who enjoys meal prepping.

Protein is the macronutrient of emphasis when it comes to preserving lean muscle mass since we are essentially made of protein. That being said, it is crucial that we consume enough protein through our diets. Chicken provides many benefits being that it is a lean source of protein which tends to be lower in fat compared to other animal protein sources. Chicken contains an abundance of vitamins and minerals such as B6, niacin, phosphorus, selenium, etc. that contribute to your overall health and wellbeing



Recipe


Servings: 3

Serving size: 1 4oz chicken breast

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes

Total time: 35 minutes


Ingredients:

· 3 (4oz) chicken breasts

· Sriracha seasoning

· Fresh lime juice

· Minced garlic


Directions:

· Clean chicken

· Squeeze lime juice over each piece of chicken

· Add 1 tsp minced garlic to each piece of chicken

· Season each chicken breast with sriracha seasoning

· Cook in the air fryer for 20 minutes at 375 degrees*


*NOTE* if you do not have an air fryer, you can cook the chicken any way that you desire (in the oven, stove top, etc.)
